Late spring and early summer is always a jam packed time of year, and this year is no exception! From confirmation for several young people on Sunday May 24 at a special time of 9:00am, to the Sons of the Civil War offering their annual moving Memorial Day ceremony immediately following, to Synod Assembly, to Vacation Bible School coming 6/15-19 – it’s going to be a fun May and June! Outdoor Sunday worship has been scheduled for this summer as well. Join us at 9:30am on June 21 and August 16, both weather permitting.

It’s hard to believe that we are in the heart of Easter. Pastor Rachel reminds us that resurrection isn’t always tidy or picture-perfect as we may sometimes expect. It’s a stone rolled away when no one expected it, life breaking in where grief thought it had the final word. It’s God doing what God does best: making a way forward when we’re pretty sure winter will last forever, or we’ve run out of road to walk. Read more from Pastor Rachel and see what’s happening in and around Emmanuel’s this month!

It’s been anything but an uneventful January, and February brings us much to look forward to. From ongoing ministry and service opportunities, to fellowship gatherings, and the beginning of Lent on Ash Wednesday, February 18.
