It’s been anything but an uneventful January, and February brings us much to look forward to. From ongoing ministry and service opportunities, to fellowship gatherings, and the beginning of Lent on Ash Wednesday, February 18.

January is a month of “holy reset” in many ways. Coming off of the excitement of Christmas and the busy-ness of December, as Pastor Rachel reminds us, simply showing up in January is holy work.
In the gentle quiet of Epiphany, Pastor Rachel reminds us to watch for those subtle epiphanies.
And yet, there is still so much going on from annual reports to winter Bible studies to new council members to continuing opportunities to give and serve our local community.

As you have come to expect, December is jam-packed with events and happenings before we even get to Christmas! Our annual Christmas Cantata, hosting the Bath Community Choir Christmas concert, cookie baking, caroling to our homebound and long-term care members, three Christmas Eve services, giving opportunities for those most in need in our local community this season – there is so any opportunities to get involved and get wrapped in the joy of this season of Advent and Christmas.

This month’s informer highlights the incredible stained-glass-style watercolor art series created by our confirmation class participants. The pieces focus on key themes surrounding the Reformation and Lutheran heritage.
Other highlights include the upcoming congregational meeting; celebration of young members who received their first communion; young members who received their Bibles; and much more.
